Carpenter/Laborer:
Midwest Builders is a commercial construction company. We build and remodel wood framed buildings, metal framed buildings, Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings, as well as masonry and panelized structures. Carpenter/Laborers for Midwest Builders, Inc. must possess skills and perform work which is basic to most building construction. Work performed can be, but is not limited to the following: erect wood and steel and panelized framework for buildings; wood & steel studs, IMP panels, set rafters; hang drywall, some siding & roofing. Experience in trim and finish work is also beneficial.
Project Supervisor:
Our superintendents must be skilled carpenters with management experience. They are required to supervise, and coordinate the activities of the building project as well as assist with the building process.
Coordinating the activities of the various workers so they do not interfere with one another as well as making sure the work progresses according to schedule.
They are Midwest Builders representative on the jobsite and liaison between workers, and Midwest Builders management.
Making sure that material and equipment are ordered and delivered to the site on time.
Our superintendents are working superintendents so they must possess strong carpentry experience with a good grasp of rough & finish carpentry processes. We utilize wood, steel and insulated metal panel construction.
Performance of the work requires quick, clear thinking and quick onsite decisions.
Project Superintendents should have a broad working knowledge of the various crafts.
Must be able to read and visualize objects from blueprints and plan documents; and should have an eye for precise detail.
Must possess the ability to motivate workers and communicate with them and their superiors.
A Project Superintendent must often lead by example. Be willing to lend a hand when needed. Not be afraid to listen to new ideas to learn ways to complete tasks more efficiently.
Must keep the jobsite clean, organized and free of debris.
